Spooky Boxing

Twelve monsters in a haunted ring, one of them yours. Spooky Boxing is a straight boxing game underneath the costumes — jab, cross, a charged uppercut, a guard you hold and a dodge you time — and the monsters differ in reach and timing rather than in gimmicks, so the matchups actually ask you to change how you fight. Beat a fighter's run through the arenas and you get his ending as a short comic. The guard-and-counter rhythm is the whole game, and it is tuned well enough to carry it.
