An action game driven almost entirely by the mouse: moving and attacking both sit on it, with the keyboard reserved for menus. That is an unusual split, and it makes the game read like a point-and-click brawler — you commit to a position by clicking there, which means retreating is a decision rather than a reflex. Shadow Rising therefore plays more deliberately than its genre normally allows.
