Demon Solitaire

A patience variant with a demanding layout. The goal is the usual one — four complete suits built up on the aces from ace to king — but the building piles are arranged downward in alternating colors, and cards come from a face-down stock you cannot read ahead. Demon Solitaire is known for being hard to finish, and that is the appeal: most deals do not go out, so the interest is in how far you get rather than whether you win.
